Gallery of "The Ancients" Series All of the art quilts on this page are available for purchase, except where noted. If there is a particular piece in which you are interested, please contact me for information. The the inspiration for this series were photographs taken by David Coulson of ancient rock art in Africa. I don't understand why the ancient images fascinate me so . . . but I find myself unable to look away, completely enchanted by the artistic evidence of lives so very different from the ones we are living in our modern world.

Inspired by ancient African rock art depicting bushmen practicing a spiritual ritual at sunset. Exhibition History: 2005 Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center Exhibition, Quilts=Art=Quilts, The 2005 Carnegie Center for Art & History Exhibition, Form, Not Function: Quilt Art at the Carnegie, "Sharing the Joy: Art Quilts by the Salon Seven". Awards: First place ribbon at the Northern Star Quilters Guild Show in May of 2004.
